Chancellor Alistair Darling has cut VAT from 17.5% to 15% in his pre-Budget report as part of an £20bn package aimed at kickstarting the UK economy.

This was reported on the BBC early today, Then I thought about all the Standing orders the cost of sending out letters and for what I have a service at 19.99 inc Vat ~( £17.01 + 17.5% )

I have already paid for 6 months advertising with that price quoted.. so, Mr Darling why will the consumer save anything the cost of me changing my adverts and standing order is a lot more then me charging £19.99 inc Vat ~ ( £ 17.38 + 15%) , yep businesses make more, not much but the consumer doesn’t save

I just saw The Cooperative Good with Food advert, the Christmas one, and I can’t get the music out of my head  it’s Gabriella Cilmi doing a cover of the  ‘Warm This Winter’ the Connie Francis hit.. anyway it’s downloadable on the 15th, so why am I blogging this.

a) Kelvin Collins ( my brother in law ) created “Good With Money” branding how awesome is that

b) Amanda Collins ( my sister in law ) is responsible for marketing the Good with Food Christmas adverts

c) They’re staying at my house this weekend and I’m off to dinner with KC and Mand tonight :)

Emails are been sent from Kelkoo informing it’s been acquired by a newly formed private equity company called “Jamplant”. they will continue to power Y! Shopping, Y! Cars and Y! Travel.

Dave’s wife doesn’t just keep us all in order at Bronco she is an SEO in her own right. They say behind every successful man there’s a great woman, well in Dave’s case it’s Becky. I’m mentioning this because Dave’s shadow is large (hehheh), particularly at conferences etc and it’s all too easy to forget what really makes a good seo team.Personally, if I am stumbling on an SEO question (and there are many) I’d ask Dave, Becky or Dan McSkelly. Why? Because I realise that we all have different a persepective on things and experience counts.
