Dan Horton isn’t very happy with me today after I caught him with the BNP List prank. I can totally understand not using 301 if the old site took a penalty and he is still getting a decent amount of clicks from the footer links.. but using a 302 surley it will kill the main site like we did with www.zippy.co.uk

so you have been tasked to buy links or at least get links for Gala Bingo, and you have just signed up to inlinks because it’s the new seo silver bullet, but you find that there is only 1 post you can buy for the term “Gala Bingo” so you decide to split the term and go for “bingo” and “gala”

so you see you can buy the inlink on a PR4 site and the text reads :

The first shot didn’t go so well, so I lined her up once slowly pulled the trigger, Bingo a bulleyes, I could breathe again..
now if the site own has a expired domain and scraping content do you really want that inlink ?

again do you want those links…

now of course it’s easy to say I wouldn’t buy those, but what if you had outsourced to someone that didn’t take else :)

Zoe Piper from 9xb asked a couple questions close to my heart.

a) WHY I DON’T RANK FOR ZOE PIPER ( hmmm ok maybe that’s not a question I ask every day ), but why is the holding Page www.zoepiper.com ranking #1 surly Google should reward people that at least put some time and effort into creating content and the like .. make a mockery of indexing the world’s information. just saying :)

b) Removing Link Exchange Links ( post here ) Zoe ask’s should she remove links exchange pages, she feels that she will be dammed if she does (in the rankings) or dammed if she doesn’t (if she gets caught)..

OK my take on this it’s a % game if 10% for your IBL’s are from link exchanges delete you OBL pages and say nothing you will lose a % but hey you can also go find new ones that aren’t exchanged, press release, social blogs without Nofollow etc etc , If 90% of your IBL’s a Link exchange, seek religion and work on getting your link exchanges to a more manageable %.

c) why didn’t Zoe come and say HI to Me, Patrick and AL at the Super Car Experience Day.. will she say hi at Harrogate SEO
